What the Mountaineer Squadron is up to...
AIR FORCE NATIONALS
From March 21 to March 24, numerous cadets from the Mountaineer Squadron went to Dayton, Ohio to attend Air Force Nationals. That is a nation-wide event in which various schools go in order to gain experience and learn from other schools. This was the first time the Moutaineer Squadron. Despite placing, we received an award recognizing our great efforts to attend the competition and our cadets gained aditional experience. This trip helped many of our cadets bond and caused our squadron to become closer together.
SHOE DRIVE
Throughout the month of March, NJ-20132 conducted a shoe drive in efforts to collect shoes to donate them to support micro-enterprise vendors. Micro-enterprise vendors are small businesses in developing nations that are operated by one person. We were able to collect thousands of shoes and many of our cadets help pack them in order to send them away. This was a successful event and we would like to thank all of those who donated shoes to a good cause!
