ABOUT

ABOUT ME

My name is Bradon Ortiz. I'm a digital artist from San Antonio, Texas. I studied at St. Mary's University in Communications and Visual Communication Design in the fall of 2018. My concentrations include furry, anthro, fantasy, and abstract themed artwork.

This website serves primarily to showcase all my projects into one online portfolio.

MY ROLE IN THE FURRY FANDOM

I've always been fascinated in anthropomorphic animals in different kind of media (i.e. video-games, films, artwork,) When I found the furry fandom, I thought it as the best place to exhibit my skills as an artist and meet great people who support and encourage one another.

In 2016, I created my main fursona is a fox/wolf hybrid endowed with tiger/dragon blood named Toku. His name is derived from the Japanese word "toku/徳" whichs means "virtue". All in all, Toku embodies my personal, spiritual, and academic goals. He's compassionate, intelligent, ambiverted, kind, courageous, decent, yet flawed in his own ways.

Yet Toku has a goal to achieve the pinnacle of life and prosperity-as some philosophers call it, "eudaimonia".

His former occupation was a military officer [retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel]. Now he's an artist open to any suggestions for new ideas.

Years later, I've created many characters in Toku's world, all which represent a part of me or someone close to me.

My future goals in the fandom is to achieve a balance of artistic excellence, engagement at conventions, have the opportunity to spread optimism, and help bring a positive outlook on the fandom.
