I was born in San Diego California (1919), but was mostly raised in a small town in central Utah where I grew up farming and ranching. I am a proud graduate of Emery County High School (Go Spartans!).
After an LDS Mission (Spokane Washington), I returned to earn a Management Degree (BS) from BYU in Provo with an Emphasis in Information Technology, and Minors in Psychology, Economics, and Accounting.
I then earned a second BS Degree from Eastern Washington University in Business Education. I also earned a masters degree (MA) Administrative Education at the University of Utah.
My Utah teaching career began at Woods Cross High school and taught Business Ed, Computer Diagnostics, Web Page Design, and Computer Networking for 5 years. I also served as an administrative Intern at Mueller Park Jr. High for a couple of years, but I missed the classroom and the students.
Choosing to return to the classroom, I accepted a position at Davis High school where I taught Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Design, Innovation, and Robotics courses. After 10 years at DHS, I was approached by the Weber District to teach at the Weber Innovation Center.
In 2016, I was invited to become a member of the NUAMES family. NUAMES is the top performing High school in Utah and it is an AWSOME place to work. I have had the opportunity to become more focused and passionate about my student’s successes. I currently teach courses in Electronics, and Engineering. I served for many years as a TSA (Technology Student Association) advisor, My best students even won the National Championship in the Systems Control Technology event one year. I have also assisted in leadership of many VEX Robotics Teams. I served for 2 years as an advisor to the NUAMES First Robotics Organization. Currently I am assisting in the leadership of the NUAMES VEX Robotics group.
Many years ago I married a young widow who was raising 3 very young children. Now, nearly 4 decades later, our 7 amazing children have mostly moved on, but the young widow and I are still together. She the best wife I have ever had...also the only wife I ever had.
