This Website is a supplement to my resume. It highlights a few of my most significant personal and team projects.
The Personal Assist Cargo Relay (PACR) was an autonomous robot designed to follow a person on a mountain trail with little to no input from the user. My primary role was programming the PACR.
While the team would have made significant changes to improve the design if we were to do it again, we are proud of our accomplishment. We were successfully able to design and build a complete autonomous cargo carrier.
In order to build a music stand for my midi controller (a USB piano keyboard), I:
Designed and 3D-printed a hooked bracket to attach the music stand to the controller, which featured a compliant hinge to reduce the number of printed parts.
Cut plywood sheets and assembled the stand
In order to teach an Arduino Uno board to receive signals from an IR remote, I:
Soldered and programmed an LCD screen
Wired the infrared sensor and programmed the arduino interrupt subroutine
Decoded the communication method for the infrared remote signal
Recorded signals and taught the Arduino to recognize infrared codes for a Sanyo tv remote
Designed the frame in Solidworks
Created and printed spec sheets for all parts
Ordered materials as budgeted
Constructed the bike frame using carbon fiber and salvaged aluminum parts
Coached a friend in building an identical frame
Assembled the bicycle
Still in use today
