The Wright Family founded Stable Life (SLS) for their adult son with special needs and for others like him in 2018. Part of the core mission for the nonprofit is to increase the availability of social, recreational and pre-vocational programs. SLS plans to create a retail store environment to provide prevocational training opportunities and community engagement. SLS also encourages horse facilities and other like minded organizations to become a provider of services to the population of special needs individuals.
Currently there are very few opportunities for our kids to do meaningful activities. We strive to help organizations by providing guidance in how to become a vendor of the Regional Center. We plant the seed, the organization runs with it.
The more choices our kids and families have the better the outcome is for our kids. It's all about lifelong learning, health and safety, and meaningful activities. Too much screen time isn't good for anyone.
Increasing the capacity of our community to provide services and supports to special needs individuals is crucial for our kids to have a happy, involved and fulfilling life.
OUTREACH TO HORSE FACILITIES TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS TO SERVE SPECIAL NEEDS INDIVIDUALS
Do you dream of starting a horse program for kids/adults with special needs? Maybe you already have a program but are struggling financially. Undeniably horses and their facilities are expensive.
How can you make it work? How can you create a program that makes fiscal sense and delivers the results that horse interaction provides our kids and adults with special needs. Explore the opportunities of becoming a sustainable program utilizing tools Stable Life has created.
Our founder has successfully created a business model for a fully operational therapeutic horse riding center and can share with you how to create a program design to apply to the regional center to pave the way for a successful outcome for your dream. Winston Churchill recognized years ago the benefits that horses give to humans. The benefits have been documented infinitum --- now is the time for action. Make it work by making it a fiscally sustainable program! Assistance to make this happen is available from Stable Life's ED.
Why? SLS wants to create more opportunities for individuals with special needs to meet their social, recreational and pre-vocational needs.
Stable Life Services is a non-profit, 501(c)3 dedicated to provide quality services to our population of children and adults with special and unique needs.
Teens and Anxiety - this is a real and serious problem. Teens have always had a hard time getting through to adulthood. But these days teens are exposed to way too much criticism and ridicule. The equine environment is a warm, loving, caring, encouraging one. Horses are completely non-judgmental and love you no matter what. The benefits of being involved with horses has been documented and is very, very real. Some of our teens are going through severe crises and we need to give them support and a way through.
