If you would like to get the full news, please sign-up and you will get a weekly e-version. This week we have had quite a few new arrivals including a white tiger cub, a female puma, a chameleon, an ocelot and a hammerhead shark family. As well as this, we recently received three schleich horses as well as two koalas from a doner. However, very importantly, we recommend you get ready for a change of name. We will soon no longer be 'The Sevenoaks Zoo Modelling Center' but 'Miniature Wonderland' as we have paired up with a world model next door. The reception will still stay in the Zoo Modelling Center but tickets can be bought for both. The gift shop and the cafe will also be in the World Modelling Center. However, more news from the zoo. We wanted to inform you that our snakes are now in a temporary enclosure and not just in storage. They are located in the discovery outpost. You will see enclosures for the anaconda, boa constrictor, cobra, rattlesnake as well as the mamba. Stationed again in the discovery outpost we wanted to tell you that our turtles have moved to a much bigger outdoor exhibit with a house. This is very near the main entrance. The enclosure previously occupied by turtles is now occupied by our frilled lizards. Again in the Discovery Outpost, we now have a separate enclosure for our gharial, which means different zones for our nile crocodiles, white crocodiles, alligators, gharials and komodo dragons. The Komodo dragons have now also moved to a much more spacy enclosure underneath the Croco Station. This habitat is called ' Land of the Dragons.' This time in a different part of the zoo, we wanted to inform you that our kangaroos and platipi now have a new home - it is called 'The Outback Safari' and is located under the bed. However, on an important note, we wanted to tell you that the space under the bed is now filled with lights due to an amazing light chain. Please ask the staff on duty to turn this on so that you can see better. Remember to do this week's quiz!
