Arriving at Valladolid through Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD)

Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD), known officially as Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport, provides four passenger terminals.

In order to get from one terminal to another, Barajas Airport has a free Shuttle Bus service connecting terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4, 24 hours a day.

How to get from Madrid Airport to Madrid-Chamartín

Suburban train

A suburban train line (Cercanías) connects Terminal T4 with Chamartín: lines C1 and C10.

At any of the Airport terminals, take Metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios; then change to line 10.

Valladolid Airport (VLL), located in Villanubla, is 10 km northwest of town.

International flights are only seasonal and, at present, all air connections within the peninsula are made through Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) and Seville (SVQ).

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) provides two passenger terminals.

Driving

Valladolid is connected via motorway (autopista) to Madrid (AP-6, N-601) and via highway (autovía) to the north-west and the north of Spain, and through Autovías A-62 and A-601, to the majority of cities in Castile and Leon .


Parking permits

The Organising Committe plans to purchase a select number of parking permits for the UVA parking lot next door for participants. If you anticipate needing a permit, please contact selim31@uva.es no later than the deadline for early registration: 15 July 2019.

Parking on the street

There is free on-the-street parking around the Faculty of Arts, but certain key locations are permit-only for a paid (0.202.35 €) two-hour limit: watch out for the blue line that identifies them.

Public parking

If you are not using any hotel parking, the most convenient places for long-term parking in the city centre are the (paid) public parking garages on Plaza Portugalete, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Zorrilla and Plaza España. All open 24 hrs. Average fare: € 17 per day. Make a reservation at Aparcar en Valladolid.
