Sabrina Robertson, is a singer, pianist, and music educator who continues to cultivate her passion for music. Sabrina is a middle school choral director in Gwinnett County where she teaches nearly 300 Chorus students. Her musical journey began at a young age and was inspired by talented family and church musicians in her hometown of Augusta, GA. She would often find herself sitting at an old upright piano for hours in the family room singing and playing music; this ignited her passion to also learn violin at age 9 and saxophone at age 11.
Sabrina received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in vocal performance from Columbus State University Schwob School of Music in Columbus, GA (2006) and her Masters in Education from Georgia Southern University (2011). Sabrina is a classically trained vocalist and proficient pianist, who incorporates years of experience in performing other musical genres as a part of her teaching style. She has composed and copyrighted several songs that serve as personal inspirations. Sabrina is a proud alumna of the Grammy award winning John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School of Augusta, GA and credits much of her musical training to her music education at Davidson.
Sabrina is an active performer and teacher with over a decade of teaching experience as middle school choral director. During her teaching career, her chorus students have earned Superior and Excellent ratings in the Georgia Music Educators Association's (GMEA) Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). Sabrina's Chorus students have participated in District Honor Choirs, GMEA All-State Chorus, GMEA Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Choirs, Trills & Thrills Music Festival, Southern Star Music Festival and Walt Disney World's Performing Arts Workshops on several occasions. Sabrina has been a featured pianist and vocalist at various events throughout the state of Georgia. She is dedicated to teaching others about music and encourages all of her students to explore their musical abilities by not only learning how to read music, but how to create music.
