Project Fiona is a non-profit that was launched on January 1, 2018. Project Fiona's goal is to provide free support and development aides to families that have a developmentally delayed infant or child. Hopefully, by providing these aides, families will be able to do things together with greater ease, such as going to the grocery store or just watching television. This non-profit is named after my daughter, Fiona Violet. She was born with a chromosomal condition (trisomy 13), which has delayed her development and caused her to be unable to sit up unassisted. Because of this, going to the store was a challenge as she outgrew her bucket car seat. We couldn't put her in the cart where children go because she couldn't sit up. So, we either had to take 2 carts or one of us stay home with her. Then, someone gave us home made seat that provided her with enough support. It works so well for us, I thought that starting a non-profit to provide them to other families would be a great idea. If you think one of these chairs would assist your child be part of family outings, place contact us.
