Nora Aboushady is Associate Professor of Economics at Cairo University, Associate Researcher at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), and Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum. She is a consultant to several regional and international organizations and was engaged in policy advice to the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. She has a range of publications including articles in peer-reviewed journals, policy reports, policy briefs, and book chapters. Her areas of interest include international trade and trade policy, aid for trade, global value chains, and food and energy security, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa Region.
