Prof. Eun Yeol LEE obtained his bachelor in 1989 from Seoul National University. He got his Ph.D. in 1995 from Seoul National University. He worked at Microbiology Institute of Gottingen University (Germany), Industrial Microbiology and Food Biotechnology Institute of Wageningen University (The Netherlands) and Biomedical Engineering Department at Cornell University (USA) as a visiting scholar. He was a senior researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and then an associate professor of Department of Food Science and Biotechnology at Kyungsung University. Currently, he is the Kyung Hee University Fellow and professor of Chemical Engineering Department. He served as Department Head, Vice-dean of Research and Industry Corporation, and Dean of the College of Engineering. He is an Editor of Bioresources and Bioprocessing and a Section-editor of catalysts. His research interests are Bioinformatics-inspired Protein Engineering/Synthetic Biology/Metabolic Engineering, Nanobiocatalysis, and Biomanufacturing of Functional Biomaterials for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, Biofuels, Biochemicals and Biopolymers from lignocellulosic biomass, macro-/microalgae, methane and carbon dioxide. He published > 280 papers and holds > 50 patents.
