My name is Murong Xu. I am currently an assistant professor in the Mathematics Department at The University of Scranton.
I was an assistant professor of Mathematics at The Ohio State University at Marion before coming to University of Scranton. I received my PhD in Mathematics as well as Master's degree in Statistics at West Virginia University in May 2018. Before that, I worked as a Data Analyst at HSBC for a year in Guangzhou, China. From 2005 to 2012, I earned both of my Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Bachelor's degree in Information and Computing Science at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China.
My research interests are mainly in Graph Theory and Combinatorics, and I am also highly interested in Applied Statistics and Data Mining.
