Coach Timothy Madden is a native of Gadsden, Alabama and was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey in 1980 to Timothy (Sr.) and Iris Madden. Coach Madden enjoyed a outstanding High School basketball career at both Emma Sansom High School and graduated from Gadsden High School in 1999. After graduating, Coach Madden signed a full basketball scholarship to Lawson State Community College located in Birmingham, Alabama where he was named a two year starter and also was named team co-captain during his sophomore season. By his Junior year in college, Coach Madden ended up signing his second basketball scholarship to Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi. Coach Madden opted out of playing basketball his Senior year to focus on academics and pursue his new found basketball coaching career.

Throughout the course of Coach Madden's career, he was blessed to compete against four talented men that would go on to play basketball in the NBA:
Gerald Wallace (Sacramento Kings), Kenric Brown (Boston Celtics), Maurice Carter (L.A. Lakers), and Paul Millsap (Denver Nuggets).
