Josefina Fabiani

Welcome to my website! I am an economist at the Digital Economy Unit of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Seville, Spain. My research focuses on international economics, particularly the financing dependencies of EU digital firms. I analyze the digital ecosystem to address policy challenges related to digital transformation, EU competitiveness, and strategic autonomy.

I hold a PhD in Economics from The University of Manchester, where my work examined the interplay between cross-border financial flows, macroprudential and monetary policies, and migration policies.
