Miss You Like Hell

Miss You Like Hell began rehearsals in February. Unfortunately, our performances were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and our last rehearsal was on March 6th, 2020, right before we started tech.

Above is a scene breakdown that I put together for Miss You Like Hell. It was important to me that we have an easy reference for not only which characters were in each scene, but also which characters were needed in each song, so that if we wanted to have a vocal rehearsal for certain songs without blocking, we could call the appropriate cast members.

Above is the props preset for the top of Miss You Like Hell. Our set consists of a number of boxes that have cubbies in the back of them, and the props, set, and actors never leave the stage throughout the duration of the show. Because of this, presetting props in an appropriate place and tracking them throughout the rest of the show became very important during the rehearsal process.

Above is our props list, which allowed us to keep track of what props were still needed from the props department and which props we had in the rehearsal room with us at any given time. I was the Assistant Stage Manager primarily in charge of keeping track of the props, and this paperwork allowed me to stay organized and also communicate quickly and efficiently with the other Assistant Stage Manager and Stage Manager about the props.
