Ghulam Ishaq Khan InstituteThe underwater vehicle was developed in the Control lab for the purpose of underwater inspection of structures.
The vehicle was tested in pool and further research is in progress.
The self stabilizing plat form has the capability to stay horizontal even if the lower frame is moving. The whole assembly use Arduino uno for position measurement and DAQ card (PCI-6323) for running simulation model in real time. The servo motor adjust the position of upper plate so that it remain horizontal with the surface of earth hence any object placed on the top will never fell down if the lower frame is moved.
The VTOL plane is designed for vertical take off and landing. The VTOL plane exhibit the benefits of both the quadcopter (Vertical take off) and Fixed wing(High speed).
The VTOL plane shown in the video have 1 main thruster and 4 auxiliary motors which enable it to take off vertically with any need of long runway while during the flight, the main thruster starts which enable it to achieve at very high speed.
