In line with recent advice from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), our governing body, we have had to make further changes to how we are running day to day. As such we will no longer be offering routine flea and worm treatment for the next 3 weeks, in accordance with the government guidelines. If you have prescription medication or prescription food only which you need to collect, our plan is to offer an appointed collection slot. If you are unable to travel to the practice, please call us to arrange alternative provisions. We are conducting emergency appointments only. We are able to offer, if suitable, telephone consultations. We will be restricting home visits. If you are self-isolating we may not be able to arrange a visit. If you are self-isolating, please do not visit the practice. If your pet needs veterinary attention, please ask a friend or relative to bring to them (but please avoid contact with that person). If a friend or relative cannot help, please telephone for advice. If you prefer not to come in with your pet, you can wait in the car (or outside) and we can speak to you on the phone to obtain information about your pet.

In line with recent advice from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), our governing body, we have made further changes to how we are running day to day. If you require any preventative treatments, long term medications or food, please telephone us to order and we will advise you when they will be ready to collect. We are delaying booster vaccinations for 3 weeks as they are not essential but we will vaccinate puppies and kittens as they are vulnerable to infectious diseases. Anyone who needs us, please phone the surgery first so that we can organise your visit to us as safely as possible. We are open to treat any animals who are unwell in any way. On arrival at the surgery car park please either call reception, or wave at us through the front entrance. A member of staff will come outside to meet you. The public are not allowed into the buildings. Medications will be dispensed outside in the car park through your car window. Appointments for consultations will be initially carried out at your car and then your animal will be taken into the building, examined, medicated and returned to you with any appropriate prescription. You can observe your pet being examined from outside the consultation room window if you wish. Please note if you are self-isolating, telephone or video consultations will be available. This can be discussed with reception staff when you call. To preserve our oxygen cylinders so that more is available for the NHS, we are temporarily not undertaking routine operations such as neutering or joint scores. All other operations are continuing in the interests of your pet's health and wellbeing.

Our opening hours remain the same and we are still open for emergencies 24 hours a day. Following the latest guidance regarding COVID-19, we are implementing social distancing where we can. There are now 3 categories of appointment that we will use to deliver care:
1. Routine healthcare that can be postponed
2. Video consultations
3. Consultations at the clinic
If your appointment can be postponed, a member of our reception team will call to do so. Video consultations will be carried out in the first instance where appropriate. When essential we will consult at the surgery, ensuring large intervals between appointments throughout the day. If you are in a vulnerable group or showing signs of illness, it is important that you allow a friend or family member who is neither ill nor vulnerable to bring your pet to the surgery. On arrival at the surgery we ask you to please wait in the car and phone to let us know you have arrived. We will come out to the car and bring only your pet into the surgery. In an event that you need to enter the surgery, may we ask that you sanitise your hands on arrival with the sanitiser provided. In regards to collection of medications, food or any other products, please phone us in advance to arrange this. Our instruction is to now discourage from making home visits unless essential.

As a non-retail premises and a provider of medicines we will stay open but we are running on reduced staff to ensure we stay safe. All orders placed before 3pm will be dispatched the same day, midday for courier. Courier deliveries are not guaranteed in 24hrs due to the pressure on services and often take around 3 working days.
