Welcome to the library!
Welcome to the library!
Whether you're a bookdragon (some of us are offended by the term "bookworm") or movie buff looking to rent the next DVD, Blizzard's Books is here to help! Thank you for visiting us, virtually! We hope you enjoy your stay, as you embark on your next big adventure. Here's to a journey the history books will forever tell stories about....
Our Mission Statement and Vision: The mission and vision of Toy Town Academy's prominent library, Blizzard's Books, is to foster a love for literacy and language, stimulate curiosity, and to encourage citizens (including children) to be passionate about learning and exploring the world through awareness of the things going on around us.
You can use the pages at the top to find the information that you're looking for. Or, if you've got no time to waste, your suitcases are packed, a globe is in your hands and you just realized (as you're about to board the next train) that you've probably forgotten something important, let the pages fly to you...
Find out what's going around you!
Stay up-to-date with the BEST quality books, audiobooks, and DVDs!

About Goodreads: Goodreads is an online website that lets users keep tracks of books they' ve read, want to read, or are currently reading! It also allows them to rate and discuss books, and it often uses this information to give the user recommendations about what they should read next based on their reading preferences! Do check it out if you have some time! :)

Students at Toy Town Academy are allowed to sign out an unlimited number of books and DVD's (like any other public library) as long as ALL items have been signed out correctly.
Note: to request a book or DVD that is currently NOT in the Blizzard's Books catalog, please fill out the form here. Be sure that you have checked the online catalog in the Blizzard's Books Library FIRST to make sure that you are not requesting a material that is already available at the library. Requests will be catered to as soon as possible!
When a student is finished reading a book or watching a DVD, it must be returned to the library in a timely manner. Please see the list below for an estimate on when each item signed out of the library should be returned. Note that these times could be extended or shortened based on renewals or holds placed by other students.
If a student has placed a hold on a book or DVD signed out by another student, they will be placed on a waitlist along with other students who have placed holds on the same item, and notified as to when the item is ready to be picked up. In the case of there being many holds on the same item, the student who has currently borrowed the item will be asked to return it sooner than two weeks to give others a chance to borrow the item unless the item has been renewed. The same applies to DVDs.
An item can only be renewed once by a student, after which it will be asked to be returned if there are many holds on the item.
Students with questions about this process should email mbales@toytownacademy.com for clarification.
In normal circumstances, students may sign out books and DVDs either as they are ready by driving to (or being driven to) the library anytime from 9 pm - 8 pm (this may include holds ready to be picked up) or just any item in the library while they are there (after being dismissed from class before being picked up to go home). In the time of COVID-19, however, Toy Town Academy recommends NOT picking up any books or DVDs for the safety of our students and staff. If a student would still like to pick up a book or a DVD, they must email Ms. Bales first for the link to the form that must be filled out in order to pick up the items.
Once the form has been filled, the student will be a given a time and date to pick the items up. Only the student picking up the items will be allowed to enter the library (with a mask please) and it is recommended that students leave the Toy Town Academy building as soon as they have picked up their items.
Students or parents with additional questions about the Curbside Pickup Process are welcome to contact Ms. Bales for clarification.
