ROMANS 15:30, NIV
Paul penned those words to the saints in Rome about 1960 years ago. It is incredible to think of the legacy of missions, of God's faithfulness to His people, and of the power of prayer. The Bible makes it clear that as you support us, you are joining us. You now have a share in our venture. Whatever harvest we reap is also credited to your account (Phil. 4:17). As we have said before, we can go to Japan, but we can't do it alone. We aren't strictly referring to funding. We also need people to pray ceaselessly on our behalf. God is our provider. Only He can change hearts. It is His Kingdom we are heralding and moving to the other side of the world to advance.
We have 4 main categories that we could use prayer for constantly as we prepare for and as we live in Japan: our finances, our marriage, our souls, and our zeal.
As of now, we have 35% of our monthly pledges accounted for (see the support page for updates) and about 32% of our one time expenses raised. By the end of April, we need to have 100% pledge fulfillment so that we can leave by the end of July.
Struggle with us in prayer for...
We are very aware of the spiritual realities that wage war around and within us (2 Cor. 10:3; Jam. 4:1). So far in our lives, our marriage has been a source of comfort and joy, but we do not want to be naive in thinking that it is immune to spiritual attacks.

Jesus tells his disciples, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me" (John 15:4). We want to stay rooted in Christ, apart from whom we can do nothing.

"Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord" (Romans 12:11). We are working hard unto the Lord in preparation for Japan and that is filling up our usual rest times. Thus, we want to be wary of becoming slothful in our zeal.
