How to Pray for Japan

During our time in Japan, we learned a little bit about the spiritual needs of the people. We learned about the gripping spiritual apathy that plagues the country and about the overwhelming burdens that many Japanese people carry. We heard stories of the alienation and hostility that Christianity brings because it threatens their idol of "being Japanese" and how that has caused many Christ-following Japanese people to become "private" or "hidden Christians". These thing we learned, we share with you so that you may partner with us in prayer for Japan and help carry the burden of seeing Christ exalted in Japan. As Oxford scholar and theologian C. S. Lewis once wrote, "It may be possible for each to think too much of his own potential glory hereafter; it is hardly possible for him to think too often or too deeply about that of his neighbor. The load, or weight, or burden of my neighbor's glory should be laid daily on my back, a load so heavy that only humility can carry it, and the backs of the proud will be broken." Japan is our neighbor, and we must humbly seek the good of our neighbor by asking our good Father to pour His Spirit and grace upon them. Here are some practical ways to do that:
