About the UCMS Library Media Center
The Library Media Center at UCMS serves students' and teachers' information, access, and technology needs. We strive to ensure that students have equitable access to high-quality information and reading materials. We also strive to make the Library Media Center a buzzing learning commons where students are always welcome to read, explore, discover, collaborate, and create. The library is open every school day from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. We house a collection of about 10,000 print materials (fiction and nonfiction). We also have a digital e-book collection through OverDrive. The library uses the Accelerated Reader reward program to motivate student reading. We have a makerspace full of robots, circuitry kits, building materials, and more.

My name is Kelli McDaniel and this is my 7th year at UCMS! I am originally from Bardstown, Ky, but moved to this area after getting my first job as a social studies teacher at UCMS. I earned my undergraduate degree in History and Social Studies from Western Kentucky University, and my Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. I am passionate about teaching and learning, and always try to encourage a love of learning in all of my kids.
