UNCF – United Negro College Fund’s scholarships are targeted toward students of their 39 member universities. The list in on the website. The UNCF Program Services Department manages various scholarship programs. Each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation. NAACP – the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People offers scholarships in conjunction with the UNCF. There is strict eligibility for some of the scholarships. http://www.naacp.org/page/s/scholarship2 

Congressional Black Caucus Scholarship available to applicants who live in or attend school in the congressional district of a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Ron Brown Scholarship  The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card. Current college students are not eligible to apply. 4-year renewable $10,000 scholarship offered to ten – twenty African American students annually.
