Rules and Expectations

Classroom Rules

Listen at ALL times

Come to class prepared

Be respectful of people and things. No talking while Mrs. Fleenor or others are talking. Bullying will not be tolerated AT ALL.

No food in class. Water bottles are allowed. No canned drinks or gum WHATSOEVER.

No cellphones in class. They are to be turned off and in your backpack at all times, unless otherwise noted by Mrs. Fleenor.

No excuses!

Consequences For Breaking The Rules

1st offense=Warning about the rule being broken (food or drink rule will be enforced by having students throw away the object), cellphones will be confiscated by me the first time, the next time the cell phone will go to the office to be picked up by a parent.

2nd offense= Student will be sent out of class. They will complete a student behavior contract and Mrs. Fleenor will contact parents

3rd offense=Silent Lunch

4th offense= Refer to office

Any sort of extreme misbehavior's will immediately be sent to the office. This includes talking back, refusing to work, giving attitude, using foul language, fights, etc.

Grades

1. Grading will be based on school policy.
2. Late work will be accepted for three days, however, you will lose 10 points a day for each day late in addition to the grade you would have originally received. Work will only be accepted until the next academic update deadline, such as the two week mark for grades. Excused absences or extreme circumstances are the only exception.
3. Students can come after school to see any grades they have.
4. I will send home progress reports at the midpoint of each marking period. They will be signed by a parent. If a student does not return it signed they will have silent lunch, and I will contact their parent.

Grade Categories

Tests: 40%

Notebooks (homework and classwork will be grouped in here): 30%

Projects: 15%

Quizzes: 15%

Tardy/Absent

1. If a student is tardy they MUST have a note either from another teacher or the office for it to be excused.
2. After 3 unexcused tardies the student will be referred to the office. I will also contact the student’s parents.
3. When students come in tardy they are to come in quietly, and leave a pass on the front table if they have one. They are not to interrupt the teacher or the class.
4. If you are absent you need a note from your parent excusing you.
   1. If you were absent you are responsible for going to the absent bin and finding any returned papers or assignments that you missed. You will need to sign out your work in the log book. You will sign it back in when you turn it in to me.
   2. You have 5 days after an absence to turn in missing work!
