Students from all over SWVA rose to the challenge this summer to develop an app prototype that addresses a key economic or community challenge. Students from Pennington, Elydale, and Thomas Walker attended the SWVA Can Code Regional Pitchfest at UVA Wise on August 25 to showcase their app designs. Heidi Stidham and Bethany Slagle presented their app design "Helping the Homeless" on the main stage. Congratulations to all these students and their sponsors Kelly Odom and Emily Ball.Â
