The results on this question were a little shocking, so let's get to the bottom of why only half of us got the correct solution.  First we'll look at how rational functions create asymptotes on a graph.  Then we'll use a custom regression to find the equation for f(x) using some points on the graph in Desmos.  After doing a translation on f(x), we arrive at the equation for g(x).  Could we possibly do this question by hand?  Stay tuned to the end of the video to find out.  Duration: 19:48
