Decisions regarding your academic courses and experiences are among the most important choices you will make. A thoughtfully designed and challenging selection of classes throughout your high school years will open the doors of opportunity in your future.
Registration Steps
In a few easy steps you can chart your path for 2025-2026! The information below will provide you with the materials and resources necessary to complete the registration process. Most of your questions should be answered by looking through these materials, so let's get started!
Registration starts Thursday, January 16, 2025 and closes on January 30!
StudentVUE will open for registration on January 16.

Attend Preview Night to gather even more information about our academic programs and course offerings, and get your registration questions answered by school counselors and staff. Learn about enriched learning opportunities at special information sessions. Explore the many pathways OSH offers!

Use the tools below to familiarize yourself with graduation requirements, course descriptions and prerequisites, as well as opportunities for specialized training and college credits. Most of your questions will be answered as you look through these materials. The more investigating you do, the more ready you will be! If you still have questions, please plan to attend Preview Night.
DISCUSS YOUR DESTINATION
Talk to your parents, teachers and counselors about your selections.
Those who know you well might make recommendations about which courses and levels may be best for you. Please choose your courses wisely because changes will not be permitted once registration is completed.
CREATE A MAP
Complete a Digital Course Card for the grade you will be in next year.
The Digital Course Card is an Advisory assignment that will help you select your required and elective courses for next year. This google sheet automatically tallies your choices to make sure you select 18 credits, 5 trimester alternates and 1 year-long alternate. Be sure to choose the Digital Course Card for the grade you will be in next year. When your Digital Course Card is complete, you will share a link with your Advisor in a google form found in the pull down menu below for the grade you will be in next year. Please make sure to rename your Digital Course Card with your last name followed by your first name and ID number, and then change the share settings to “ISD 279 Staff”.
LOCK IN YOUR PATH
Carefully enter your final selections into StudentVue to complete your registration.
Using your completed Digital Course Card, enter your final courses and alternates into the StudentVue Course Request module. Instructions for entering your course selections are available below. Time for this will be available during your Advisory on January 23 & 30. If you need assistance, school counselors can answer questions during Preview Night on January 16 and during all lunches on January 27 & 28. Teachers will also be available to assist during Advisory on January 23 & 30. This final step of the registration process must be completed by January 30. Once your StudentVUE registration has been submitted, you will have completed the registration process!
Special Program Options
PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options)
PSEO Information Session / Thursday, January 16 at 6:00pm / OSH Auditorium
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) is a program that allows 10th, 11th and 12th grade students to earn college credit while still in high school, through enrollment in and successful completion of college courses.
With traditional PSEO, these courses are generally offered on the campus of the postsecondary institution; some courses are offered online. Postsecondary institutions are not allowed to charge PSEO students for tuition, textbooks or support services.
Students may be charged for equipment that becomes their property when the course or program is completed. Textbooks that are not returned to the postsecondary institution according to their policies.
Most PSEO courses are only open to high school students during their 11th and 12th grade year, with each participating college and university setting their own requirements for enrollment into the PSEO courses and programs. Students may take PSEO courses on a full- or part-time basis.

HEALTH SCIENCE MAGNET PROGRAM
Magnet Program Information Session / Thursday, January 16 / 4:00pm / Forum Room
Prepares students for a potential career in health science or medicine.
Builds essential patient care skills through hands-on learning experiences.
Offers opportunities for students to build relationships with professionals in the medical industry.
Provides options for students to earn credit at designated colleges, saving time and money.
Helps students build a resume that will set them apart when applying to medical programs.
