Ceremony Details

Tickets are not required for admission to the commencement ceremony, and there is no limit on the number of guests that may attend per graduate.

Seniors are required to ride district-provided buses BOTH TO and FROM the Commencement Ceremony.

Seniors should meet at Osseo Senior High by 1:15pm to board buses wearing their caps and gowns. Immediately after the Commencement Ceremony, seniors will load their assigned bus back to Osseo Senior High where they may reunite with family and friends. There will NOT be an opportunity for graduates to see their families after the ceremony ay U.S. Bank Stadium. We recommend taking group photographs before arriving at OSH at 1:15 p.m., or after your grad has returned (on the bus) to OSH!

Families will take their own transportation to the venue. We recommend leaving early and arriving at the stadium entrance by 3:00pm when the doors open for Osseo Senior High guests. Please allow ample time for transportation and stadium security.

U.S. Bank Stadium strictly enforces security protocols for all graduates and guests.

All persons entering the stadium will have their bag searched and will be screened by a metal detector. Guests are expected to comply with all U.S. Bank safety policies to ensure a safe, respectful and enjoyable experience for all.

Bags: All bags brought into the stadium must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and may not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" in size. Small clutches (no larger than 4.5" x 6.5") are allowed with or without a clear bag. All bags are subject to search, and guests with bags will go through a bag check upon entry. Diaper bags and medically necessary items are permitted but will be thoroughly inspected.
Flowers: Are allowed in U.S. Bank Stadium.
Signs: Handheld signage that is 18”x24” or smaller is permitted, provided they do not contain advertising and are not offensive in nature. Limit of 1 sign per person, and signage cannot be on poles or sticks.
Prohibited Items: Noise poppers, air horns, balloons, confetti, large signs, laser pointers, weapons and outside food or drink (unless medically necessary) are not allowed into the stadium.

Please note: Graduates may wear only approved commencement regalia (see 2026 Grad Guide link above).

Graduation Tasks

In preparation for commencement, seniors should complete the following:

Fees (including Commencement Fee of $20)
CRC Forms

These tasks will be tracked on a personalized Senior Clearance Form handed out at the mandatory Graduation Assembly during Advisory on Thursday, May 28. When students have completed this form, they will exchange it for their cap and gown packet on their last day of school on Thursday, June 4.

Senior All Night Party

Celebrate graduation with your fellow Osseo Senior High classmates after commencement. This long-standing tradition is planned, sponsored and supervised by parents of OSH seniors. Seniors must be pre-registered. Walk-ins will not be allowed.

When: Sunday, June 7 from 9:45pm-5:00am

Where: Bowlero in Brooklyn Park

Cost: $120 from April 1-May 29

Yard Signs

A limited number of Yard Signs to show support and pride for our Seniors will be available for advance purchase for $26 on SANP webpage. Proceeds from this sale will be used to raise funds for the Senior All-Night Party.

Volunteers

Many volunteers are needed to make the night a fun and safe event for our seniors. Please consider volunteering and sign up to help HERE.

Graduation Speech Auditions

Auditions for our graduation speeches will be held after school on Tuesday, May 26 & Wednesday, May 27 at 2:15pm in the main office. Student must be a graduating senior and have a prepared speech no longer than 450 words or a maximum of 3 minutes. Please email Katey Sullivan to schedule an audition.

Cap & Gown Orders

Every senior ordered their cap and gown during Advisory in January. They will receive them on their last day of school after their graduation tasks have been completed and verified.

Mailing Address

Diplomas will be mailed to graduates after graduation. To ensure a student’s diploma is mailed to the correct address, please verify your mailing address in ParentVue. If a correction needs to be made, please make corrections via ParentVue or by contacting the District 279 Enrollment Center at 763-585-7350.

Graduating with Honors

Seniors graduating with honors do not need to pre-order honor accessories; however, unlike cap and gown packets, honor accessories are not provided free of charge. A list of seniors eligible to graduate with honors is posted on the link above.

Personalized Vinyl Banners

Osseo graduates have the opportunity to order personalized vinyl banners through our cap & gown vendor. These 3' x 4' banners are weather resistant and have grommets in each corner for hanging. Banners cost $44.99 and may be ordered HERE.

Elementary School Senior Walks

Many Osseo Area Elementary Schools host walks for graduating seniors to visit their former school. As we are notified of these events, they will be added to the list found HERE.
