I went to the dining hall at 10:55 am after my history class to eat a nice lunch. I chose the ginger grilled chicken, peas, and herb-roasted potatoes. I also filled up a glass with water.

After classes were finished, I was hungry and decided to wander over to JJ's and see what was offered for the day. I came out with a Texas cheeseburger and a watermelon Arizona.

As the day went on, JJ's was still on my mind on this delightful Thursday afternoon. I bribed one of my friends with some money to go over to JJ's to get something for me and something for themselves. They came back a short few minutes later with some mini Charleston Chews candy and a bag of Cape Cod original chips. I was informed that the hot foods were wiped out so in its replace, some chips and candy.

As my academic day came to a close, I headed home at around 4:30 pm. I got settled in at home, played on my phone for a bit, and then started my homework for the night. After completing some of my homework, all this thinking got me thirsty. So I cracked open a nice cold Ocean Spray sparkling cranberry refreshment.

After a long day at school and a fair amount of homework, I was feeling hungry and ready to relax. Tonight I found a lot of leftover food so I decided that I was going to clean out the fridge instead of making more food and the leftovers going bad. After I looted our fridge, I came out with some mac and cheese, leftover refinery food from a family platter (assortment of beef, chicken, baked beans, and french fries), and a nice garden salad.
This experience was very interesting and it let me look at my food choices from a different view. When I heard we were going to be doing this activity, I was intrigued by what types of foods I would eat throughout the day. It was eye opening to see how much food i had eaten in one day, usually I don't think I eat as much food as I actually do. Although today I did snack more than usual. On a normal day, I find myself plenty full after a big meal like lunch to be able to go until dinner without eating any snacks. Today was different most likely as I knew I had to log what I ate and I wanted to expand my horizon and fill out my blog. I noticed throughout my pictures that I did not drink as much water as one should, taking pictures of everything I have eaten today really shows ones eating habits and patterns. I noticed today that I did eat a lot of food that was sugary or not natural, I am usually pretty good at balancing junk food and healthy food in my day to day meals but today I saw that I did not eat as healthy as I would have liked.
Thinking about my ethics of eating, I don't see a limit or barrier to food that I cannot eat. I do tend to stay away from foods that are heavily processed or food companies that I know have been exposed for animal cruelty or not hygienic. When it comes to picking what to eat in the dining hall, in a restaurant, or at home, I don't have a problem eating something new or eating any type of food. I believe the plants and animals around us have intrinsic value. When I eat food, I see the value of the plants and animals, I don't waste the food or take more than I know I am going to eat. I see through factors like pesticides or making sure my beef is grass-fed or free-range chicken eggs and eat the food for its nutritional value to my body. If I see a food that I know was processed humanely, I am going to eat it right up. But if it is just a store-brand package of chicken I won't shy away from it at all.
