Now offering initial ADHD evaluations for $1! (a $150 value!)
Onyx - ADHD Treatment. Simplified!
How long does the initial evaluation last?
The initial evaluation typically spans between 20 to 30 minutes. It can sometimes take longer, depending on individual needs. Prospective patients are urged to diligently complete all intake forms before the scheduled appointment to ensure efficiency.
Is the initial evaluation really $1?
Yes! The initial evaluation is really just $1. When you schedule your intial evaluation, you will be asked for payment information for the $1 fee and will be sent intake forms after scheduling your appointment and paying the fee.
If I am diagnosed with ADHD, how soon can treatment begin?
Once you schedule your intial evaluation and pay the $1.00 fee, you will be sent intake forms to complete prior to your scheduled appointment. After your initial evaluation, if you are approved for treatment, you'll receive your personalized treatment plan and will be able to begin treatment immediately after. Most Onyx patients start treatment 1-2 days after being approved for treatment.
Are there any additional costs besides the monthly treatment fee?
Absolutely not. Transparency is key, and there are no hidden fees. The comprehensive monthly fee of $150 covers medication management, care calls, subsequent follow-up visits, and care coordination. All to provide the best care for our patients. The monthly fee does not include the cost of medication, which will depend on the patient's insurance coverage and pharmacy of choice. Most patients use insurance to cover the cost of medication and pay as little as $0 for medication.
Can I discontinue the program at any time?
Yes. The program can be discontinued at one's discretion, at any time. Due to the specialized nature of our program, Onyx is unable to offer refunds. As such, no fees will be returned after the completion of a visit or following the transmission of a prescription by a medical provider. To disenroll, please give our Care Team a phone call at (888) 341-6401 or send an email to careteam@ADHDtreatment.net
What happens if I miss a scheduled appointment?
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We're more than willing to reschedule it for a time that suits you better. In cases where an appointment is missed, it's imperative to reschedule soon. Our dedicated care team will assist in setting a new time, or alternatively, you can utilize our online appointment scheduling tool in the patient portal! 😊
Do you offer therapy or counseling services?
While virtual visits with our medical providers may include therapy and counseling, it is not meant to replace the role of comprehensive therapy or counseling. We encourage every patient to receive therapy and counseling, if appropriate. Every Onyx patient does benefit from the dedicated attention of a care coordinator and receives medication management and follow-up from a board-certified medical provider. Additionally, our patients are engaged through regular care calls and periodic online questionnaires, ensuring continuous support.
How often will I have check-ins or follow-ups or appointments?
At the beginning of treatment, patients have follow-up visits on a bi-weekly or monthly schedule with their medical provider. This is coupled with bi-weekly check-ins facilitated through care calls and weekly touchpoints via online questionnaires. In addition, patients are also welcome to contact the care team via e-mail or phone at any time. ☎️👨🏾⚕️👩🏼⚕️
Do you accept insurance?
No, we unfortunately do not accept insurance at this time. However, we gladly accept credit/debit card payments, including FSA/HSA options. Most patients are able to use insurance plans to cover the cost of medication and should present their insurance card to the pharmacy when picking up their prescription. To make the monthly fee more affordable, we offer bi-weekly payment options as well.
Which states do you currently operate in?
At present, we're accepting and providing care to patients residing in Ohio and New York State. We're working towards expanding to other states in the future. Check back frequently!
How do I make payments?
All patients are automatically enrolled in auto-payment. You have the choice between monthly ($150) or bi-weekly ($75) payments to best suit your financial situation. The monthly fee includes diagnosis, ongoing assessment, care coordination, medication management, and ongoing support through care calls.
Can I contact the care team outside of scheduled appointments?
Absolutely! Patients are encouraged to call or email the care team at any time for support, care, or help with billing questions.
What is included in the welcome kit?
The welcome kit includes a welcome card and gift, with branded items and a personalized journal to kickstart your journey with us. New patients will receive instructions on how to use everything in the welcome kit and will be able to ask questions during their care calls.
Is this program only for adults?
Yes, Onyx exclusively provides adult ADHD treatment at this time. All patients must be 18 years of age or older and will be asked to upload a government-issued ID proving age and date of birth prior to the initial evaluation.
How is the Onyx ADHD program different from others?
Our treatment program takes an all-encompassing approach. Our goal is to address ADHD holistically, considering all facets of a person's life. Patients pay a flat-rate monthly fee and receive:
Diagnosis and ongoing assessment,
Treatment including medication management,
Care coordination and weekly check-ins with online questionnaires,
Bi-weekly care calls and unlimited access to the care team via text, e-mail, or call, and
Access to online support resources and tools including a monthly support group.
Do you offer in-person visits or just virtual ones?
While we emphasize the convenience of virtual visits, in-person consultations can be arranged if necessary. For more information, please contact the care team. Current legislation allows telehealth/virtual visits for ADHD treatment. This may change in the future and our care team monitors this closely.
How do I sign up for the program?
To get started, schedule your appointment and pay the $1 initial evaluation fee. You will receive online intake forms to complete prior to your scheduled appointment. At your initial evaluation visit, you will meet with a medical provider and if you are diagnosed with ADHD (or an existing diagnosis is confirmed) and you are approved for treatment, you will be sent instructions on next steps. New patients typically start treatment within 1-2 days after their initial evaluation. Our care team remains available throughout the initial evaluation and enrollment process to support you and answer any questions along the way.
How secure is my personal information?
Your privacy is our utmost priority. All data, medical records, and personal information are stored securely, adhering to strict data protection and HIPAA guidelines. Onyx is a medical treatment program and we proudly adhere to all U.S. security and safety standards.
How often do I need to fill in online questionnaires?
Online questionnaires are typically sent out for completion on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. They are brief and usually include less than 10 questions. Patients are strongly encouraged to complete them as they help the care team understand how effective your treatment is.
Is there an age limit for the program?
Our program is tailored for adults, but there is no specific age cap. Patients of our ADHD treatment program must be at least 18 years of age. All patients must prove their age and date of birth by uploading a government-issued Identification Card (Driver's License, ID, Passport, etc.) prior to their initial evaluation.
