A significant independent research project culminates both the major and minor, providing students the opportunity for survey, investigation, research, or creative activity that synthesizes and extends classroom learning. Students must demonstrate an understanding of key concepts; apply relevant methods, theories, and analytical frameworks to researching and evaluating solutions to complex problems; and exhibit the leadership skills necessary to be an “agent for change” on behalf of a more sustainable world.
