The PHS Girls' Cross Country Team got 3rd in the Lincoln Trail Conference meet. The PHS Boys Cross Country Team were Lincoln Trail Conference Champions!
The girls’ team finished 7th at Regionals and qualified as a team for the IHSA Sectional meet. They finished 11th at Sectionals. Bethany Sennett qualified as an individual for the State meet. She placed 51st at the IHSA State Meet.
The boys' team placed 5th at Regionals and qualified for the IHSA Sectional meet as a team. They finished 8th at the Sectional meet, which equals the best Sectional team finish in school history.
Joey Bosch and Tucker Sennett qualified as individuals for the IHSA State Meet. At State, Tucker placed 82nd. While Joey initially was the 25th person to cross the finish, he was later disqualified and thus, his place and time did not officially count.
This was the first time in school history that Princeville had participants in both the girls’ and boys’ races at the State meet.
Tucker and Joey also became the first runners since Mary Ellen Hill (1992-1995) to compete in the State meet multiple times.
