The PHS football team attends meet the teams night
Fall sports of PHS finally came to an end. Last article we talked about Golf coming to an end as well as Cross Country, but fall sports aren’t done yet. Junior Joey Bosch and Sophomore Tucker Sennett successfully made it to State representing the Princeville Princes Cross Country. Saturday, November 5, Joey and Tucker ran at Detweiller Park. Tucker finished #104 and Joey finished #154 out of 258 runners. We will be talking about the Princeville Varsity Football team and Princeville Varsity Volleyball.
Starting off with the Princeville Varsity Football team, the boys ended their season with the record of 4-5. Beginning with Varsity team awards, Senior Kellen Francis received Offensive MVP, Outlander Award, and Defensive MVP. For the rest of the Offensive awards, Junior Brayden Harmon received Off Most Improved and Senior Jordan Johnson received Off Coaches Award. For the Defensive awards, Senior Marcus Daily received Defensive Most Improved and Junior Denzel Garza received Defensive Coaches Award. For All-Conference 1st team: Offensive Line: Kellen Francis and Return Specialist: Tayshaun Kieser, for 2nd team: Defensive Line: Kellen Francis, Linebacker: Marcus Daily, Defensive back: Jordan Johnson, Wide Receiver: Jordan Johnson, and Running back: Tayshaun Kieser and for Honorable mention: Tight end: Marcus Daily, Quarterback: Logan Carruthers, and Defensive Line: Denzel Garza. Jordan Johnson, Liam McGrath, Kellen Francis, Zach Menold, Ayden Herrmann, Josiah Christianson, Marcus Daily, JT Snyder, Logan Carruthers, Brayden Harmon, Denzel Garza, Ethan Cunningham, Tucker Sennett, Matthew Bowers, Jake Williams, Edward Tendrick, Jack Lied, Mason Hilliard, Ryan Lehmann, Jaden Pool, Parker Dickinson, and Logan Cornell all got Academic All Conference.
Princeville Varsity Volleyball played well making it to the first round of sectionals, but sadly they ended their season there. The Lady Princes had a very successful season ending the season with the record of (28-9). The volleyball team succeeded Conference Champs and made it to the first round of Sectionals. Starting off with awards for Seniors, Brenna Schupbach and Bethany Urbanc both received the MVP award, Senior, Brooke Ladd received Coaches award, and Junior, Brianna Brodie received the Most Improved award. For All-Conference awards for 1st team Brenna Schupbach and Bethany Urbanc and for 2nd team Brooke Ladd, Brianna Brodie, and Josie Benningfield. The whole volleyball team qualified for Academic All Conference.
