Fall Sports Wrap-up

In the recent weeks at PHS, we have had several fantastic endings to our sports seasons! About two weeks ago, we had our Varsity Football team end their season in playoffs against Ottawa, Marquette. The final score was 32-7 after our boys put up quite the fight. 

Another sport that recently came to an end was our girls Varsity Volleyball. The girls had an exceptional season and won the regional championship, which was hosted here at Princeville. They lost the first game of sectionals, which ended their season. We’re sad to see it end, but so excited to see what our players will do next! 

Our final sport that has come to an end is our Cross Country team! Our girls and boys team both made regionals and sectionals with almost every runner getting their best personal record of the season at Regionals. While most of the team’s 2021 running season ended after sectionals, Alyvia Cowser, a freshman at Princeville, advanced to state! There, she set the school record by running 3 miles in 19:09.7 minutes! We are so ready to see where her running career takes her as she moves through high school! 

Overall, our teams have exceeded our expectations over and over through the season, and we can’t wait for next year! Thank you to all the coaches and fans, and especially to the players who made this fall season great for our teams.
