FCCLA will host their annual Secret Santa exchange during the week of Monday, December 10 to Friday, December 14. Students who have been assigned to one another by FCCLA sponsor Mrs. Schoedel will surprise each other with a secret gift each day.
Students who are interested can sign-up between December 3 and December 6 in Mrs. Schoedel’s room. While all five gifts should be new and unused, each student should only spend $15 for the week. On Friday, every student will discover the identity of their Secret Santa. Contact Mrs. Schoedel for more information or to sign up.
Finals week is rapidly approaching! Teachers will have all study guides to students by November 30. The actual exams begin on Monday, December 17, and will end with an 11:25 dismissal on Friday, December 21. These tests will make up 20% of your semester grade, so be sure to study!
The Princeville community is hosting their annual Holiday Homecoming on Saturday, December 1st to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
Businesses will be open to showcase some of the items they have on sale. There will be multiple activities at various locations in Princeville such as the craft/vendor fair at 8 a.m., set up by Lindsay Wineinger, taking place at two places: Country Feed and Supply and the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Building.
The Princeville Lion’s Club is hosting a Santa Breakfast at the Akron-Princeville Fire Department from 8 a.m to 11 a.m. Cost is a donation, and Santa will be in attendance.
A gingerbread house contest, which sees entries from Princeville High School students in Mrs. Schoedel’s foods class, will be displayed and judged at EB Buildings and Lumber Co. from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
There will be a Christmas Wish Tree fund as well for those who struggle with providing a gift for their children. There are forms for those who are in need of getting their child a present. Forms are available via the Princeville Village Hall and the Princeville website, and forms will be sent out to students at Princeville Grade School to take home on Friday, November 16th. The deadline for the forms is November 29th. If a form isn’t available to parents, they can always write down your child’s information on a piece of paper and deliver it to the Village Hall.
All are welcome to visit the Village Hall and select a child’s name off the tree and buy a gift for them. Visit the Village Hall website for more information.
