Princeville Junior Senior High School (PJSHS) is not just a place for education; it's also a place where love blossoms and endures. Among the dedicated staff, five married couples stand out, showing that love can thrive in the workplace. These couples are the Tholes, Kratzers, Melicks, Carruthers, and Boschs. Whether they met at PJSHS or not, their love stories continue to inspire the school community.
We had the pleasure of speaking to two of these couples: the Kratzers and the Tholes. Both couples have been married for an impressive 28 years. When asked about their experience working together, Mr. and Mrs. Thole expressed that it makes planning vacations and family activities much easier and more enjoyable. They both cherish the convenience and joy of being able to coordinate their lives seamlessly.
The Kratzers shared a similar sentiment about the ease of planning, but they also noted that it can be challenging to find new topics to discuss at home since they are so familiar with each other's work lives. Their romance began at PHS, earning them the title of high school sweethearts. They have known each other for 35 years, a testament to their enduring bond. The Tholes, on the other hand, have known each other for 30 years, further proving that love can stand the test of time.
It seems that Cupid has made a special stop at PHS, bringing together these wonderful couples and allowing them to share their lives both at home and at work. Their stories are a beautiful reminder that love can flourish anywhere, even in the halls of a high school.
