Kathy Hunt, a seasoned educator, brings a wealth of experience to her current role as a special education teacher at PHS. Despite starting as a substitute teacher in 2020, Mrs. Hunt quickly worked her way up, serving as an aide the following year before transitioning into her current role. Mrs. Hunt holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Knox College. While there, she majored in math and secondary education. With four years of teaching experience at another school and an impressive 14 years of homeschooling under her belt, Mrs. Hunt’s passion for education shines through.
Prior to her time at PHS, she taught a range of subjects, including Math and Science for students in 6th-12th grades. Her academic background in biomedical engineering adds a unique perspective to her teaching style, enriching the learning experience for her students.
One of Mrs. Hunt’s greatest joys in teaching is witnessing her students grow in confidence as they realize their own potential. These moments of discovery and empowerment inspire her every day in the classroom.
