Two seniors (Camille Daughtery & Emmaline Perkins) just completed designing a Fiction sign for the school library. Princeville Junior/Senior High School’s library was lacking a sign for its second fiction section, so the librarian, Mrs. Sullivan, approached two artistic seniors to remedy the situation.
Daugherty and Perkins worked for a month on the project, first starting with a scale model on paper, then moving to the final version by painting foam board.
When asked about how they achieved the background effect, Perkins stated, “We used a technique called paint pour. Basically, you pour paint on the board or canvas, and then you lean the board around so that the point moves and creates a cool background.”
Make sure the next time you’re checking out a book from the library, you take a second look to check out the artistic skill of our senior Princes!
