Every year, Princeville FFA hosts a December meeting that doubles as a Christmas Party. FFA members are encouraged to arrive in Christmas attire, as well as bring a friend to help ring in the holiday spirit. This year, the December meeting was held Thursday, December 13.
The get-together provided members the opportunity to discuss accomplishments, upcoming events, contests, and goals. However, this meeting isn’t as simple as the traditional ones held. This particular gathering is one that is most looked forward to, some FFA members said.
Along with festive sweaters and friends, the party also had plenty of games and food. Dinner was held potluck style, meaning that everyone brought their own dish or dessert to share. No get-together is complete without some sort of entertainment, though. Attendees engaged in fun games like Dutch Blitz, Bean-Boozled, and various card games together.
Not only did the meeting serve as an enjoyable get-together for FFA members, it encouraged non-members to want to become a part of FFA.
Carrie Gill, Princeville FFA Parliamentarian, said, “I think that the Christmas party is great because it really encourages new people to join, and it shows them what FFA is all about.”
