The PJSHS Library now boasts a sharp-looking sign that welcomes everyone to our room – thanks to the creativity of Princeville students ranging in grades from 6 through high school. Part-time library assistant, Mrs. Dana Willi, conceived the idea of mounting signage on the upper wall outside of the room to draw attention to the library, since it is located at the far south end of the school. Taking Mrs. Willi’s idea, the library invited students to “adopt a letter” from the word LIBRARY. Kids who were interested received a square of white foam board on which to design the letter of their choice in whatever manner and medium they chose. The following students contributed towards the overall sign: L – Louisa Lopez, I – Amber Brawley, B – Owen Hill, R – Ayden Herrmann, A – Sarah Curry [Sarah has moved; Faith Pensinger is pictured holding her letter], R – Dakota Roger with Kiley Mason and Kyra Rinkel, and Y – Sydney Dippel. When the letters were completed, Library Teacher’s Aide Faith Pensinger, who prepared the foam squares initially, performed the finishing work so that the sign could be mounted. The resulting signage looks wonderful; we truly appreciate our students’ creative contributions!
