The Princeville FFA was proud to have their 91st annual FFA banquet on April 16 at 6 p.m..
Prior to the event, students, as well as their parents, had to reserve a spot for a tasty meal that included fried chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, and rolls. The banquet was held in the Princeville Junior High Gym and they primarily discussed awards earned by students during the year.
The awards this year included officer appreciation pins, greenhand degrees, chapter degrees, scholarship award, leadership award, star greenhand, outstanding senior, Dekalb award, E.L. Rice memorial award, Mark elsasser Memorial award, Star Chapter Placement, Star Chapter Farmer, Salesmanship award, Proficiency award Recognition, Top Ten award, and Honorary Chapter Degrees.
Some of the members who got awarded notable awards were Alyssa Headley who won the Dekalb award, Ellie Ferretti who won Star Farmer, Dakota Maguire who won Star Greenhand, Kip Hoerr who won Star Agriculture Placement, Kyle Bird who got the Most Active FFA Member award. Dennis Headley and Michelle Haste were also named Honorary FFA Degree Recipients that night.
Jayden Jones was “really happy that the night went well, and the thing [he] enjoyed most was the delicious food that was served.” Collin Martin thought that the banquet, “went well, and afterward Mr. Meisner got a lot of positive compliments on the banquet.
Jacob Meisner said the FFA banquet, ¨was a great night to celebrate [their] successes from the past year. [he] really enjoyed seeing the members having a fun time to reflect on [their] year. [he is] really looking forward to the many more years of Princeville FFA Banquets!¨
