Ophelia Vedder

I am a  PhD candidate in Politics at Princeton University. I specialize in political theory and work on topics in feminist theory. I was a 2022-23 Graduate Prize Fellow at the University Center for Human Values. In addition, I have served as co-organizer for the Social Criticism and Political Thought speaker series. 

My dissertation is about gender abolition, and explores whether a future without gender offers an appealing vision of gender justice. My additional research projects include a new approach to thinking normatively about our current crisis in care, and an investigation into the compatibility between political liberalism and feminism.
