Dick Churchill is the founder and Director of Primed for Practice.
Following nearly 30 years working as a GP in a large and busy training Practice in Nottingham he decided that he wanted to do more to help the development of GPs and Practices.
He spent 25 years working at the University of Nottingham developing and supporting the undergraduate medical curriculum, including general practice teaching in the community, and was subsequently appointed as Director of Clinical Skills. During this time he was involved in a programme designed to support GP trainees through the application of self-regulation learning theory.
He has particular interests in adolescent health and mental health and has contributed to a number of national evidence based guidelines in these areas.
