Stacey Abrams is an American politician who strongly believed in the voting rights of all Americans and equal representation in government for all Americans. In current social and political events, including COVID-19 and the 2020 democratic victory, she has highlighted the forces standing against constitutional democracy or voting. She recognizes that communities of color are usually under-represented and funded are continuously oppressed. Their voice is not heard although they are the ones who have been harshly hit by the effects of the pandemic and other social factors; they are far from reaching failed leaders accountable.

Biden’s victory in the 2020 election has been a wonderful success for all democrats across the country, and a large part of it comes from Abrams' role in swinging the vote in Georgia. Abrams believes this new administration will restore our democratic system. Especially after the Capitol Riots, caused by enraged republican voters who are driven by white-supremacists values, to disrespect the democratic system of voting. However, they have exposed the reality of a divided nation, on so many levels including political, social, and economic subjects. Tragic events and many factors will "will, “[stand] against a democracy agenda seeking to preserve and expand paths to power by shrinking the voting pool rather than winning voters over,” Abrams has addressed. She is determined to not go without a fight and emphasizes that “We don’t know how many chances we will get to reverse our democracy’s near-death experience. We must not waste this one. We must go big — the future of democracy demands it.”
