I am a mother of two Pretzels, Dominic (Senior, UIS/UIC Nursing) and Michael (Freshman, ISU) and married to Joe who is a retired Springfield firefighter.  We have lived in New Berlin for over twenty years and have enjoyed being an active part of the community.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in Education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Public History from the University of Illinois at Springfield.  I taught at the junior high level at both Elkhart Elementary and Franklin Middle School and held library positions at the West Sangamon Public Library and New Berlin Elementary Library.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with my three dogs and my family.
