In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Prescott Unified School District is administering three grants, through the Arizona Department of Education (ADE):
ESSER I - Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)
ESSER II - Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA)
ESSER III - American Rescue Plan (ARP)
Desired Outcomes
Ensure stakeholders understand the purpose of these funds and how they benefit our students and community.
Provide feedback to all stakeholders and allow for effective, collaborative conversations.
Prioritize needs for the District Administrative Team.
Under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III, our district is receiving funds to support safe reopening, sustain the safe operation of schools, and address the impact of COVID-19 on our students through a variety of methods.
ARP Act ESSER III funds are used to implement prevention and mitigation strategies that are, to the greatest extent practicable, consistent with the most recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance on reopening schools. A portion of the funds is also specifically dedicated to supporting and addressing the academic and social well-being needs of our most vulnerable students due to the impact of the pandemic through the implementation of evidence-based interventions, additional learning time, and other academic and social-emotional support.
