This year's Peer Review Week theme moves beyond identifying challenges and toward shared understanding and practical approaches. At PREreview, we believe part of the solution to the pitfalls in current evaluation systems lies in creating spaces where people can learn together, exchange expertise, and improve research through open dialogue.

So far, 27 PREreview Clubs from 12 countries have registered for the Review-a-thon 2026. Folks coordinating the collaborative review activities—Club leads—bring in diverse perspectives as graduate students, librarians, science editors, researchers at different career stages, instructors, and retired professionals from the scholarly ecosystem. The Clubs disciplinary interests range from health and life sciences to ethnography, education, AI agents evaluation, engineering, and multilingual metaresearch.
