Attendance Policy 

• PRC  District Policy:  Accepts 6 parent notes to excuse absences (3 per Semister).

• Attendance Goal: Students should have only 2 unexcused absences during their time at Endeavor.

• Please send doctor and parent notes the next school day.

• Parent and Dr. Notes can be uploaded to Parent Square or emailed: to kmartin@prc.k12.ms.us.

• Unexcused Absence: 0 points; student drops back 1 behavior level.

• Unexcused Tardies: Students who arrive after 8:15 a.m.

Attendance Reporting

•Five (5) unexcused absences will be reported to the school attendance officer, who, in turn, will send a formal notice to parents of Mississippi Compulsory Attendance Law violation. 

•Parent notes will be accepted for a total of 6 days of absences (3 per semester) All parent notes written for over 6 absences will be unexcused. (Other documentation, such as doctor’s excuses, death certificates, etc. will need to be provided in order to excuse these absences.)

•If a student receives 10 or more unexcused absences during a school year the school’s Attendance Committee will meet with the parents to form a plan of action. 

•Upon exceeding 12 days of unexcused absences,  our student’s participation in any extracurricular activities will be terminated and charges will be filed with the School Attendance Officer.
