Thank you for the opportunity to work with your student(s) this year. We have appreciated your support and collaboration throughout the year. A strong connection between home and school really helps make the learning experience the best it can be. Have a terrific summer! I hope you and your child to find time to read, explore the outdoors, and make new memories together!
Be sure to check our PRB School Facebook page this summer for important reminders, pictures, and communications from the school. If you are on Twitter, follow @rickauliePRB. I will send off periodic summer learning ideas, communications, and happenings from our school. OPTIONAL LOCAL PURPOSE ASSESSMENT (OLPA)
Students in grades 3-6 will be taking the OLPA test during the month of January. The OLPA assessment is basically like a “practice MCA test”. There is not an accountability report sent to the state for this assessment. However, teachers will be given timely, valid, and reliable data to use for instructional decision-making. The OLPA test measures students progress towards meeting the MN State Common Core Standards. More information about the OLPA and other state tests may be found the department of education’s website at: http://education.state.mn.us/MDE/JustParent/TestReq/index.html.
