Welcome! D2L Brightspace is the Learning Management System at Prairie State College. Even if you are not teaching exclusively online, you will still be provided with an online course space for your course called a "shell." 

Whether you've used a different LMS before or you've never been on one in your life, Online Learning is here to help you. Getting a course set up can take some additional time, but since you can copy term-to-term, it can save you time in the long-run. If you ever feel like something you are doing is taking longer than it should, or that something is impossible, please reach out to us in Online Learning. There may be different strategies that we know that can save you time (and frustration). 

Below are a series of linked modules within the Faculty Resource Center. You can access them directly from the Faculty Resource Center within D2L at any time as well.  The first two modules are recommended, but not essential to understanding D2L. The Important Information module provides links to resources such as handbooks and course-planning documents. The module "Before You Begin: Design of Your Course" is home to information on course design and online learning theory.  All other modules are D2L-specific and are recommended for those new to this LMS.
