Hi there, and welcome to my story! I'm Mrs. Houghton and I have been teaching Literature to middle school students for 22 years, and I consider myself a loyal Wolverine! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Education and completed my Master's degree at National Louis University. The Literature Lounge is what I call my second home, where I am hired to make Literature come to life. I  am married and have two children who keep me on my toes. I love to read, take Zumba classes, go boating, and craft Pinterest projects. However, the number one thing that fills up my love tank is spending time with my family. If I were to describe my life in a nutshell I would say, I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a teacher, a friend, a team player, and at times a circus master. I feel very fortunate to be part of the Willowbrook staff, and am honored to get to work with your children, go blue!
